Sign up for a quick, intensive preparation for the SAT. The crash course is a set of two four-hour workshops
designed to familiarize you with the SAT, teach you test-taking strategies, and give you practice with the skills you'll
need to do well on the test.
Here's what students are saying about the SAT Crash Course:
"I'm not much of a shy kid, but the idea of going to an SAT prep class with kids I don't know made me
nervous. I tend to not like to ask questions in an environment like that because I fear they'll be considered 'stupid'
or 'lame.' Knowing that I could go to a place with three friends of mine and being in an environment where everyone
knew each other made me more confident when asking questions. After taking the course and getting amazing tips, my confidence
level about the SAT went soaring. I'm a smart kid, but a terrible test taker. After learning the tips and taking the practice
tests, I did better than I have in a long time. The environment is comfortable and helped me to feel better not only about
the test in general, but about myself, too."

There are 10 sections on the SAT. Though the order of the sections changes, the breakdown remains
the same. The exception is the essay section, which always comes first. This crash course gives you an opportunity
to take an entire practice test, start to finish, with a mini-lesson introducing the strategies that will help you before
each section. After each section, we go over the answers so that you have a chance to refresh the skills needed to do
well. These are the sections on the SAT:
THE 25-MINUTE ESSAY We review strategies for beginning your SAT with a convincing essay and practice planning and writing
a short essay.
CRITICAL READING (There are 2 25-minute sections and 1 20-minute section.) We review vocabulary, reading, and thinking
strategies for long- and short-passage reading selections.
WRITING (Not including the essay, there is a 25-minute and a 10-minute writing section.) We practice the grammar and
usage skills to find grammatical errors and improve sentences and paragraphs.
MATH (There are 2 25-minute sections and a 20-minute section.) We practice the algebra, geometry, and statistics
calculations that are part of the SAT and learn test-taking strategies that can help solve problems faster.
